Another Insolvency - SunConcept

German based SunConcept Group officially announced insolvency yesturday. Seven of its subsidiaris went bankrupt, according to this article from pv-magazine.com

Market consolidation continues. About 100 jobs are effected. Salaries are granted until March 2012.

hello

the consolidation is going on, yes... how many companies do experts expect to survive? .... 10? ... 20? ... 30? ... or more?

... How many companies are currently in the branch? ... 100? ... Anybody having a idea?,

hello Asker,

at the solarpraxis Forum in Berlin last November the experts in the CEO-Panel have been asked the same question. As far as I remember, the common number has been in a range of 10 - 20 companies.

I personally think it will be a bit more. Time is definitely a factor in this question because I'm sure, the consolidation progress will take a few years. how many companies / organisations will be left in let's say 5 years, can nobody answer for sure.

Hi

only a few big players will endure the next few months and even less the next 2-3 years. Mainly manufacturers with tremendous savings will be able to outlive a consolidation. And I'm not sure if there are many ... :?

10 - 20 seem appropriate to me. Maybe less. Others (companies that haven't enough savings) will be forced to detect niches where their business can succeed.
