Utility poles as PV mounts

Postby pseudoruprecht » 23.10.2011, 10:46

In Iowa, there's going to be 40 MW of PV distributed across several thousand utility poles. As each module is directly connected to the grid they certainly use per-module inverters (or how else can this be done?)

Would be nice to see a boost for this type of inverters! As the discussions over at the german counterpart of this board clearly show, finding the right match of modules/inverter takes a lot of experience. For a module inverter, all you need is a certified electrician that connects the inverter to your home network or the grid.
